Irish animator Tomm Moore follows his celebrated feature debut, The Secret of Kells, with another ravishing – and Oscar nominated – fantasy based on Irish folklore. 

Ben and his little sister Saoirse, a Selkie or Seal child, embark on a fantastic journey across ancient legend and magic attempting to return to their home. This animated film is sheer joy for young and old and parallels the worlds of our magical oral folklore tradition and modern Ireland.
