Join us in the Great Hall at Queen's University Belfast for a special evening with internationally renowned artist, author, and activist Oliver Jeffers.

An Evening with Oliver Jeffers will take place on Thursday 19 March at 6.30pm, with Jeffers in conversation with Hugh Odling-Smee, Project Manager for Film Hub NI. In this engaging discussion, Jeffers will reflect on his wide-ranging creative practice, from his globally celebrated picture books to his acclaimed visual art and activism, exploring how storytelling and art can shift perspectives on our changing world.

The event coincides with our current exhibition Disasters and Interventions at the Naughton Gallery, which brings together, for the first time, a series of works created over the past fifteen years in which Jeffers intervenes in found images to dramatically alter their narratives – often with wit, surprise, and moments of absurdity.

Following the discussion, Oliver Jeffers will a hold a book signing of the accompanying Disasters and Interventions exhibition catalogue, which will be available to purchase during the event.

Join us in the Great Hall at Queen's University Belfast, for this unique opportunity to hear from one of Northern Ireland’s most influential contemporary artists in conversation about creativity, humour, and the power of changing perspective.

The Naughton Gallery will be open to the public from 11am to 6:30pm on Thursday 19 March.
