Director Stéphane Brizé and actor Vincent Lindon (The Measure of a Man) team up again for this chronicle of a factory strike in the South of France.

Despite heavy financial sacrifices on the part of their employees and record profits that year, the management of Perrin Industries decides to shut down a factory. The 1,100 employees, led by their union spokesman Laurent Amédéo (Lindon), decide to fight this brutal decision, ready to do everything to save their jobs. News reel footage coupled with dazzling handheld camerawork creates a powerful immediacy—the workers’ fight is our own.

“Ripped from the headlines, keenly researched and carefully crafted, this fictional tale has near-universal resonance...” – LISA NESSELSON, SCREEN INTERNATIONAL

Screening as part of the 26th French Film Festival.
