Baby Pictures is our weekly morning film slot exclusively for carers with little ones aged twelve months and under. This week, what's better than one mother but four (very different) mothers.
Four Mothers tells the story of Edward (James McArdle), a novelist saddled with caring for his elderly mother (Fionnula Flanagan) who finally finds himself on the brink of literary success.
Busy with the demands of his upcoming book tour, the last thing Edward needs is his friends leaving their mothers on his doorstep as they head off on an impromptu Pride holiday! Over a chaotic weekend, Edward has to juggle his burgeoning career with the care of four eccentric, combative, and wildly different ladies.
Four Mothers is a tender and heartwarming comedy that is set to delight cinema audiences.
Baby Pictures is open to carers and little ones of twelve months and under. As everyone in the cinema is a parent or carer, there’s no need to worry if it gets a little noisy. Everyone understands. Customers not accompanying a baby will be turned away.
The lights are turned up a little bit and the sound is a little softer to create a peaceful environment for you and the baby. It’s just for carers (Mum, Dad, Granny, Granda, whoever it is it looking after the tot) and babies. Up to two adults can come with a baby. Please note: we cannot allow babies over the age of 12 months to come to Baby Pictures.
If you have any questions about Baby Pictures, please get in touch on qftmanager@qub.ac.uk.
Baby Pictures is supported by Film Hub NI.
Darren Thornton (A Date for Mad Mary) adapts Gianni Di Gregorio’s Mid-August Lunch into a charming tale of one Irish son juggling four very different mothers.
