Franz Böhm's film follows three young female activists in Hong Kong, Chile, and Uganda as they cope with the staggering personal impacts of their activism.
With global protests on the rise, a new generation is at the heart of a seismic political shift. In Chile, Rayen protests for social justice and against social inequality, while in Hong Kong Pepper fights for democracy against the Beijing-influenced administration of Carrie Lam and in Uganda Hilda battles the devastating consequences of climate change at the local Fridays for Future protests. Facing almost impossible odds, Dear Future Children explores why these three young women keep fighting.
