In partnership with The Irish Pages Press, QFT presents a very special event to launch Dear Orson Welles & Other Essays, the new book from renowned filmmaker Mark Cousins.

In Dear Orson Welles & Other Essays, Mark Cousins begins a series of ‘conversations’ with the artists, poets, directors, and filmmakers who have most influenced and inspired him, including Orson Welles, Agnès Varda and Pier Paolo Pasolini. The end result is a captivating read for anyone interested in contemporary film and the history of cinema.

Mark's celebrated films include I Am Belfast, Stockholm My Love, Atomic and The Eyes of Orson Welles. This illustrated talk will feature Mark reflecting on his prolific career in filmmaking, and the actors, directors, films, writers and philosophers that have influenced him.

Dear Orson Welles & Other Essays, published by The Irish Pages Press, will be available to buy on the night.

The book launch, with a brief reading by Mark Cousins, will begin at 6.00pm in the QFT foyer, prior to the talk at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be available for purchase from the QFT bar.
