Things go terribly awry when small-time Minnesota car salesman, Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy), hires two inept thugs to kidnap his wife in order to clear an insurmountable debt. Once people start dying, the very chipper and very pregnant Police Chief Marge Gunderson (three time Academy Award winner Frances McDormand) takes the case. Is she up to the challenge? You betcha.
