Set on the north-west coast of Ireland, God's Creatures is the critically acclaimed feature debut from filmmakers Saela Davis and Anna Rose Holmer. Starring Emily Watson (Breaking the Waves, Hilary and Jackie), Paul Mescal (Normal People, Aftersun) and Aisling Franciosi (The Fall).

In a windswept fishing village, a mother is torn between protecting her beloved son and her own sense of right and wrong. A lie she tells for him rips apart their family and close-knit community in this tense, sweepingly emotional epic.

The film premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival Directors’ Fortnight and picked up five BIFA 2022 nominations including Emily Watson for lead performance and Paul Mescal and Aisling Franciosi for best supporting performance.

Featuring stark imagery by cinematographer Chayse Irvin (BlacKkKlansman, Beyonce’s Lemonade), God’s Creatures is a timely examination of the ways in which we protect men and discredit women, often with traumatic results.

"A beautifully made, precisely acted masterclass in rural gothic." Irish Times
