On the evening of 14 May 1977, in a crowded bar near the Irish border, undercover British soldier, Captain Robert Nairac sang a rebel song.

He was soon to become known as one of the Disappeared. Hunting Captain Nairac follows the search for his remains by an ex-republican prisoner.

Set in the borderlands between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, this film explores how Nairac’s life and death echoes the sometimes violent and tangled history of the UK and Ireland.

Director Alison Millar will take part in a Q&A after the film, along with some of the film’s contributors.
