Kate Winslet stars as Lee Miller, the American model turned photographer who captured some of the most important images of the Second World War.
Exploring the most significant decade of Lee Miller's life - the period between 1938 and 1948 - Ellen Kuras' film follows Miller as she transitions from amateur photographer to British Vogue's war correspondent following the Blitz. Determined to document the truth of the Nazi regime, Miller travels to Germany where, in spite of the odds stacked against her as a female correspondent, she ends up capturing some of the most important and enduring images of the war.
Featuring a stellar supporting cast including Andy Samberg, Marion Cotillard, Josh O'Connor, Alexander Skarsgård, Andrea Riseborough and Noemie Merlant, Lee is a satisfyingly textured portrait of a remarkable woman.
"Lee asks you to look at subjects you think you already know from a different angle and witness what should never be forgotten." - Marya E. Gates, RogerEbert.com
