We celebrate the filthiest jubilee of them all, as John Waters’ cult classic turns 50!

As brilliantly transgressive and hilarious now as it was on its release in 1972, Waters and his merry band of Dreamlanders leave no taboo unsmashed in this gleefully subversive ode to outsiderhood.

Legendary drag terrorist Divine is iconic as a wanted criminal hiding out with her family of degenerates in a trailer outside Baltimore while revelling in her tabloid notoriety as the “Filthiest Person Alive.” But when a pair of sociopaths (Mink Stole, David Lochary) attempt to challenge her title, Divine resolves to show them and the world the true meaning of the word filthy.

Outburst brings you the very best in new and classic queer cinema in partnership with QFT. Visit outburstarts.com for full details of the festival programme, taking place 11th-19th November.
