Executive produced by Outburst Arts and shot on location in the Queen’s University Quarter, this stunning new short film from Belfast-based writer and director Caleb J. Roberts exposes our preconceived notions about what a gay relationship can look like.
During a heatwave in Belfast, transgender man Owen cycles to the flat of his on-off-again lover after taking a pregnancy test in a public men's bathroom.
Refusing tropes and labels around trans masculinity, desire and what’s unsaid, this beautifully filmed work is intimate, gritty and tender.
After the screening we welcome you to join a conversation with the director about authored transness on screen, the “new wave” of trans cinema and the gap in transmasculine narratives around sex, pleasure and desire.
Content Information: Sex, partial nudity and discussion of pregnancy.
Produced by Jon Beer & Callum Harrison for Out of Orbit.
