The ongoing struggle against the Israeli occupation has defined Palestinian society. While this remains a critical aspect of daily life, it’s essential to acknowledge that there is much more to Palestinian society than just this struggle.
Restricted explores the intersecting realms of technology, culture, and identity within Palestinian society. At the heart of the narrative are powerful women who use platforms like TikTok and Instagram to reclaim their narratives, challenge societal and political norms, and forge connections with the global community. From fashion influencers to fitness enthusiasts and outspoken journalists, they show Palestine as it is.
World Premiere: Palestinian filmmaker Rabie Mustapha’s film, The Cities I Live In, which won the 2023 Docs Ireland Shorts Competition, will also be screened.
Both filmmakers, Rawan Mazzawi and Rabie Mustapha, will take part in an post-screening discussion.
