Academy Award-winners Marlon Brando and Gene Hackman head an all-star cast in the fantastic, action-packed film that made Christopher Reeve an international star playing the greatest superhero of all time, now in a new glorious 4K restoration.

Raised on a farmyard in Smallville, Kansas since a young boy, Kryptonian Kal-El (Reeve) works as a journalist at the Daily Planet – under the adopted guise of Clark Kent. However, when a family tragedy strikes, Clark becomes the heroic Superman, taking to the skies in his iconic costume, all the while falling in love with colleague Lois (Margot Kidder), battling the dastardly Lex Luthor (Hackman), and reconnecting with his biological father, Jor-El (Brando).

This 1978 classic set the gold standard for every superhero film which followed in its path, brought to life by the electric cinematic partnership of trailblazing blockbuster director Richard Donner (The Goonies, Lethal Weapon) and master writer Mario Puzo (The Godfather).
