Following the loss of their grandmother, three siblings visit their grandfather’s home, where middle-child Susan takes up the mantle of the family’s new narrator. Through three enchanting tales of bravery and wonder, she helps her grieving family rediscover laughter and light. It is a visually stunning tribute to how the stories we share keep us close to those we love most.

Cinemagic ‘On the Pulse’, is an exciting month-long programme of screenings, film education events, talks and workshops on the short film genre and short form storytelling. We have programmed a season of the very best international short films, classic heritage shorts and cartoons, as well as showcasing short films made by local young filmmakers.
