Lydia Tár's (Blanchett) seemingly charmed life – complete with wife, daughter, adoring fans and students – is suddenly threatened when a former protégé re-emerges, spiraling Tár into desperation and paranoia as her past transgressions threaten to destroy her privileged lifestyle.

With a jaw dropping performance from Blanchett, exceptional directorial skills from Field and music by Oscar-winning composer, Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker), TÁR hits all the right notes.
