All short films are either non-dialogue, in English or with easy-to-follow English subtitles.

Fallin’ (Dir: Carlos Navarro, Spain, 2024)

Awakening in a season not its own, the Winter Spirit must learn to discover beauty in the unfamiliar, confronting personal biases and embracing the ever-changing cycle.

The Legend of the Hummingbird (Dir: Morgan Devos, France, 2025)

A fire breaks out in the Amazon rainforest, and frightened animals leave their habitat to take refuge on the other bank. Only a little hummingbird persists in fighting the fire when he spots a sloth, and its young family trapped in the flames.

Cinemagic ‘On the Pulse’, is an exciting month-long programme of screenings, film education events, talks and workshops on the short film genre and short form storytelling. We have programmed a season of the very best international short films, classic heritage shorts and cartoons, as well as showcasing short films made by local young filmmakers.
