The event will premiere a collection of new short films created with people across Belfast who have been affected by hate and racism. Through film and personal testimony, the storytellers share experiences that are too often unheard, creating space to listen, reflect and understand.

Following the screenings, some of the storytellers themselves will take to the stage for a live programme of spoken word and poetry, giving voice to experiences of harm, resilience, identity and repair.

The afternoon is also a celebration of achievement. We are delighted that Geraldine Hanna, Commissioner Designate for Victims of Crime, will join us to present certificates to participants who have successfully completed our OCN Level 1 course in Restorative Storytelling, and to say a few words on what she has witnessed of their work - recognising their commitment to using creativity, dialogue and storytelling as tools for connection and change.
