Palme d’Or winner Adèle Exarchopoulos (Blue is the Warmest Color) shines as a young airline stewardess who tries to juggle work and a turbulent and aimless lifestyle, on a journey through Europe and the search for herself.
Cassandra (Exarchopoulos) is a flight attendant for a low-cost airline. Living day to day, without any goal or purpose, she lives her life like her Tinder nickname - Carpe Diem. She spends her free time between shifts drinking small bottles of duty free alcohol, flirting with men on Tinder and partying with random people she meets in each city.
This seemingly cool lifestyle helps her escape the reality of losing her mother in a car accident a couple of years ago and avoiding her family, which she is not ready to face. After a mix-up at work, she finally needs to go back home to face the pain she has seemingly not given a f*ck about.
"Lecoustre and Marre’s hypnotic feature debut is richer and more textured for how it sees that lifestyle through the eyes of a crew member instead of a passenger." indieWire
