Fleadh on Film
17 July 2026
This August, we're celebrating traditional music on screen with a special Fleadh on Film programme.

Bringing together work from across decades, including DoubleBand’s Ag Taisteal Siar and The Soviet Sessions, alongside acclaimed films such as North Circular, Song of Granite, Dónal Lunny: In Time, Nothing Compares and Trad, the season traces how Irish artists carry tradition into new places and how traditional music shapes identities and belonging. Selected screenings will feature live performances and conversations.
All our Fleadh on Film screenings will be Pay What You Can. Pay What You Can invites you to think about your own circumstances and what you can afford to spend at the cinema. Instead of our usual ticket types, for all Visions of Europe films we have a sliding scale with tickets at £4, £7, £10 and £15. For those who can afford to pay a bit more, it allows someone who couldn’t necessarily afford a full-price ticket to come for less.
Building on the work film festivals around the world have done with this ticketing model, we’ve come up with some handy pointers to help you decide what ticket price might suit your circumstances best.
