Pay What You Can: Visions of Europe 2025
14 February 2025
We've brought back Pay What You Can for this year’s Visions of Europe season, find out what this means for your ticket.

One of our priorities at the minute is ensure our audience reflects our local community, which means increasing audience diversity, reaching new audiences and reducing barriers to attendance for people living on low incomes.
We’ve been coming up with some ideas about changes we can make to our programme, prices and marketing to reach new audiences. For Visions of Europe, we’re testing one of these ideas – Pay What You Can. We decided to test this out with our Visions of Europe season as it’s a perfect example of what QFT does – original, in-house programming, taking in the best of old and new European cinema.
Pay What You Can invites you to think about your own circumstances and what you can afford to spend at the cinema. Instead of our usual ticket types, for all Visions of Europe films we have a sliding scale with tickets at £4, £7, £10 and £15. For those who can afford to pay a bit more, it allows someone who couldn’t necessarily afford a full-price ticket to come for less.
Building on the work film festivals around the world have done with this ticketing model, we’ve come up with some handy pointers to help you decide what ticket price might suit your circumstances best.
