When he is elected, he is confronted with hard truths, compromise and the hierarchy of power and positions of influence. With his young family at home beginning to worry, and friends who helped his election campaign starting to feel less essential than the local businessmen, will Jahir succumb to the seduction, and violence, of power?

A bold film that skillfully uses colour, real administrative locations and local inhabitants to bring this vibrant and complex world to the screen. With systemic corruption of local politics in Bangladesh at its core, the film’s themes of family, ambition and disillusionment run broadly.
