Start the new year with Reclaim The Frame and Hamnet, joining us for a special screening of Chloé Zhao’s restorative portrait of love, loss and healing, followed by a cyanotype workshop with nettle Belfast.
Agnes (Jessie Buckley), the wife of William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal), struggles to come to terms with the loss of their only son, Hamnet – the grief driving a wedge between the couple. Shakespeare channels the tragedy and his sorrow into his work, creating Hamlet.
After the Reclaim the Frame screening of Hamnet join the team from Nettle Belfast, an Arts Facilitation Collective based in Belfast for a Botanic Cyanotype printing workshop. Cyanotype Screening is a printing process that creates monochromatic prints using UV reactive ink. We’ll be using herbs, flowers and other natural materials inspired by Hamnet. There will be time to discuss Hamnet, while designing and creating your own memorable print related to themes of Hamnet to take home.
Spaces for the Cyanotype Workshop are limited, please book here to claim your spot (booking includes screening and free workshop place).
Reclaim The Frame is a charity that champions marginalised perspectives in cinema, connecting with audiences and communities through special screenings and events across the UK.
Reclaim The Frame events create a space to discuss what's under the surface of each story. Stay in touch for events, opportunities and ticket giveaways by joining the Reclaim The Frame mailing list.
If ticket pricing is a barrier, please get in touch with mail@reclaimtheframe.org as the charity has limited free tickets that can be offered to those who need them.

Academy Award-winning director Chloé Zhao’s adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s bestselling novel features mesmerising performances by Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal.
