FBI informant William O'Neal infiltrates the Illinois Black Panther Party and is tasked with keeping tabs on their leader, Chairman Fred Hampton in the electrifying real-life story Judas and the Black Messiah.
When he’s arrested for impersonating an FBI agent, petty car thief William O'Neal (Lakeith Stanfield) is strong-armed into spying on the Black Panthers, particularly their prominent and charismatic leader Fred Hampton (Academy Award-winner Daniel Kaluuya). Soon a battle wages for O'Neal's soul as he revels in the danger of manipulating both his new comrades and the FBI, with his betrayal having deadly consequences.
Simultaneously a taut crime thriller, a visceral emotional drama and an immersive piece of important American history, Judas and the Black Messiah is one of the most compelling and essential films you will see this year.
