A woman takes it upon herself to care for her twin brother while he fights cancer, putting her marriage at risk, in Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond's German language Swiss drama starring Nina Hoss (Barbara, Phoenix).
Lisa (Hoss) is a once brilliant playwright who no longer writes. She lives with her family in Switzerland but her heart remains in Berlin where her twin brother Sven (Lars Eidinger), a famous stage actor, resides. When Lisa receives news that Sven is suffering from an aggressive type of leukaemia she returns to Berlin to look after him, doing all she can to ensure he keeps acting, knowing his work is the key to helping him fight his illness. But when Sven’s condition worsens, Lisa brings him to Switzerland to stay with her and her family, neglecting everything else in her own life, including her marriage.
"This is another intimate, personal tale from writer-director duo Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond...boasts standout scenes and characters you believe in, for all their flaws. It is also moving without being mawkish." - Anna Smith, Deadline Hollywood
