A reclusive truffle hunter (Nicolas Cage) who lives alone in the wilderness must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she is kidnapped.

Quiet and introverted woodsman Rob (Cage) lives off the grid in the Oregon woods with his pig as his only companion. Due to his porcine pal's penchant for finding exquisite fungi, the two spend their days hunting for truffles, which Rob then sells to a young visitor named Amir (Alex Wolff). When the pig is kidnapped from Rob's house in the middle of the night the anguished man heads to the nearest big city, Portland, to find her and the kidnappers. However, in order to succeed in his search he must confront elements of his past.

"As a descent into the apparently high-stakes world of truffle-pig-poaching, Pig is unexpectedly touching; as a showcase for Cage's brilliance, it's a revelation." - Michael Nordine, Variety
