A student's search for her birth mother leads her into a dark past in Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor's powerful Irish drama.

University student Rose (Ann Skelly), an adopted child, has wanted to know who her biological parents are for as long as she can remember. When Rose finally discovers her birth mother's identity it quickly becomes clear that her birth mother Ellen (Orla Brady) has no wish to have any contact. Compelled by a sense of rejection, Rose travels from Dublin to London in an effort to confront her.

When Rose turns up unannounced, Ellen is deeply disturbed but eventually reveals a secret she has kept hidden for over 20 years. Believing she has little to lose, Rose sets out to confront her biological father, Peter (Aidan Gillen), setting her on a collision course that will prove both violent and unsettling.

"Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor’s best work yet...grabs you by the throat...an edge-of-the-seat thriller - ★★★★" - Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
