Do you come out of the cinema buzzing to talk to someone about what you've seen? Join us for After the Credits, a new monthly film discussion group open to QFT Members, QFT Community and LUMI members.
After the Credits will be led by QFT regular Damian Keenan.
In September, the films up for discussion are Passages, Past Lives, Tokyo Story and Ballywalter.
Celebrated filmmaker Ira Sachs (Love is Strange) makes a breathtaking return with Passages, a fresh, honest and brutally funny take on messy, modern relationships, starring Franz Rogowski, Ben Whishaw and Adèle Exarchopoulos.
An aching, deeply romantic debut feature from playwright Celine Song, Past Lives is a love story — indeed, several — told across three moments in time
A profoundly stirring evocation of elemental humanity and universal heartbreak, Tokyo Story is the crowning achievement of the unparalleled Yasujiro Ozu.
Prasanna Puwanarajah’s debut feature Ballywalter is a bitter-sweet comedy drama set in Ballywalter, Northern Ireland about the unexpected connections that can change the course of our lives. Starring Seána Kerslake and Patrick Kielty.
How are the films selected?
Films for discussion are selected each month by Damian and the QFT Team. We’re always open to hearing your suggestions if there’s an upcoming film you think would make a good fit.
I can only make it to two of the films, can I still come?
Of course! Each month we’ll select 3 or 4 films to discuss but you can join if you’ve seen 1, 2, 3 or 4 of them. We can’t guarantee the discussions will be spoiler free but you can always go grab a drink if you want to sit one out.
Does it cost to join?
No, our sessions will be free to attend but booking is required and you must be either a QFT Member or a member of QFT Community or LUMI.
Do I have to come every month to be a part of it?
No. Come along on the months that suit you.
