A screening and discussion event where political activist, social campaigner and former MLA Eamonn McCann will reflect on his experience taking part in a 1988 televised panel interview.

After Dark was a groundbreaking reinvention of the discussion programme format: live and with no scheduled end time. Broadcast on both Channel 4 and the BBC from 1987 to 2003. Each episode featured up to eight guests, all invited for their personal experience of the subject being debated and with the aim to present a full range of arguments by selecting guests that had divergent opinions on the subject across boundaries of age, sex, religion, class, and nationality.

Invited to discuss the civil rights movement of 1968, McCann was said by the press to have ”dominated the whole discussion, destroying anyone who dared to cross him" with the panel show described by a columnist from The New Statesman as "simply the most enlightening programme on Northern Ireland I have ever seen."
