Film critic, broadcaster and journalist Mark Kermode returns to Cinemagic for his annual ‘Film Night’ to introduce and discuss The Red Turtle, his 2017 festival pick!

Mark will also be sharing his thoughts on the year’s new film releases before answering questions from the audience.

The Red Turtle - The first international co-production from renowned Japanese animation giant Studio Ghibli enlists the talents of Dutch animator Michael Dudok de Wit, who co-wrote the film with French filmmaker Pascale Ferran, for a wondrous story about the unlikely friendship between a castaway on a deserted island and an enormous sea turtle.

“One of the most beautiful films I’ve ever seen…..breathtakingly wonderful…..You think you must have dreamt it, it’s so perfectly put together.” – MARK KERMODE

Film Night host will be (as always) the brilliant Brian Henry Martin.

Screening as part of the Cinemagic Film Festival. For more information about the festival please visit http://www.cinemagic.org.uk/.
