After their father's death, siblings OJ (Daniel Kaluuya) and Emerald Haywood (Keke Palmer) inherit his horse ranch located in a lonely gulch of inland California. When they and other residents glimpse a mysterious object lingering in the sky, OJ and Emerald attempt to capture the mystery on film, only to discover the phenomenon’s horrific true nature.
