One of the ickiest, most original body horror shockers of all time, Society is the stomach-churning story of one teenager who discovers that his family are part of a gruesome orgy cult for the social elite.

Teenager Bill Whitney (Billy Warlock) has always felt like the odd one out in his wealthy, upper-class Beverly Hills family. For some reason, he just doesn't seem to fit in. But his sense of alienation takes a sinister turn when he hears an audio recording of his sister's coming-out party, which seems to implicate his family and others in a bizarre, ritualistic orgy. And then there are the strange glimpses he's been seeing of people with their bodies contorted impossibly out of shape. Is Bill going mad or is there something seriously amiss in his neighbourhood?

A thought-provoking social satire as well as an ultra gory horror story, Society grabs your attention with its (s)laughter and gag-inducing climax.

"Society is a veritable orgy of influences assimilated into something singular and entirely sui generis." - Anton Bitel

Sink your teeth into Eat the Rich, a season serving films that satirise the lives of the rich and powerful. If you have an appetite for the wealthy one percent, this seasonal menu created by LUMI programmer Joanna McClurg is sure to satisfy, with all flavour of films about class division and the tragedy inherent within capitalism. Bon appetit!
