The late William Friedkin’s horror classic shocked audiences on first release. 50 years on, it remains just as compelling, memorable and disturbing. 4K restored.

We are delighted to welcome Friedkin's friend, and The Exorcist super-fan, Mark Kermode, to QFT to introduce this 50th anniversary screening of the Director's Cut.

When charming 12-year-old Regan (Linda Blair) takes on the characteristics and voices of others, doctors say there is nothing they can do. As people begin to die, the girl's mother (Ellen Burstyn) realises her daughter has been possessed by the devil--and that her daughter's only possible hope lies with two priests, Father Karras (Jason Miller) and Father Merrin (Max von Sydow) and the ancient rite of demonic exorcism.
