Somewhere within the smog covered streets of Victorian East London lies a murderer. With the victims piling up and the shaken community attributing the crimes to a mythical creature, a so-called Golem, a police inspector (Nighy) is brought in to help uncover the truth. Cloaked in atmospheric fog and dirt, this nicely staged gothic murder mystery features the darkest of humour and a winning turn from Bill Nighy.
