From November 2021 to November 2022, Belfast City Council worked with six local musicians (Ferna, Robin Price, Anselm O’Donnell, Cheylene Murphy, Stephen Loughran and Brigid O’Neill) to reflect on their experiences and challenges of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.

Partnered in a residency with Open Arts Choir, ACSONI, Victoria Park Primary School, Hosford Project, ANAKA, and Newington Day Centre, we celebrated the project with exceptional performances of each song, providing a powerful close to last year’s Sound of Belfast festival.

Sound of Belfast in collaboration with QFT and Belfast Music invites you to join us for a very special event that will premiere the documentary, tracing the journey of the participants throughout the project.

Hosted by DJ Kwame Daniels, the screening will be followed by a Listening Party to launch the Double CD of songs produced and remixes by curator James Hamilton, showcasing the six unique, powerful, and moving songs created by the musicians and participants of this poignant and creative reflection of the pandemic.
