QFT and the School of Natural and Built Environment at Queen's present the “Film(ing) Architecture: Film Studio/Set Design in Titanic Square” Exhibition of the Cinematic Architecture Studio. The exhibition will run between 24 April and 8 May in the QFT foyer.

CineArch is the design studio of the MSc Advanced Architectural Design course and DfE-funded PgCert Cinematic Architecture programme at Queen's University Belfast. Incorporating new media technologies and film analysis methods into their design processes, students have designed a Film Studio/Film Set in the Titanic Quarter in Belfast providing new facilities for the thriving film industry. As part of this design studio, students have visually analysed notable films and series (Inception, Cowboy Bebop, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Arcane, and High-Rise) and made animations/short films to inform their design. The exhibition includes these student films as well as scale drawings, physical models, and renders.

Curated by Ece Sila Bora, the exhibition opens at QFT on the evening of 24 April 2024 with an opening speech by Prof Wei Sha, EPS Dean of Postgraduates, QUB Civil Engineering, following the screening and discussion of the first film of Walled Cities: An Everlasting Piece.
