Mordechai Jefferson Carver (Adam Goldberg) is not just a man. He’s “The Hebrew Hammer,” and he’s on a mission to save Hanukkah.

When Santa Claus’s evil son Damien (Andy Dick) is pushed over the edge by his father’s liberal policies, he does away with the Christian patriarch and steps into his father’s role. His first campaign? Eradicating the Jewish festival from the calendar.

The Hammer joins forces with Esther (Judy Greer), the gorgeous and dangerous daughter of the world’s top Jewish leader — and his friend Mohammed (Mario Van Peebles), head of the Kwanzaa Liberation Front. Their mission: To topple the evil Santa and save the Festival of Lights.

The Hebrew Hammer is a wickedly funny and crude debut feature by Jonathan Kesselman which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2003.

In association with UK Jewish Film and Jews Schmooze, QFT is delighted to present a Jewish film season that includes touring films from the 21st UK International Jewish Film Festival. Kindly supported by the Embassy of Israel, London and the Institute for Conflict Research.
