Directed by Betsy West and Julie Cohen (RBG), My Name is Pauli Murray is a filmic portrait of a pioneering Black attorney, activist, priest, poet and memoirist.

Pauli Murray wrestled with gender identity and shaped landmark litigation – and consciousness – around race and gender equity, and fought heavily in the battle for social justice. Told mainly using Murray’s own words, this doc reveals a tenacious spirit; Pauli Murray is a name you will not forget.

From Inverness to Brighton, Belfast to Cardiff, audiences from across the UK will be able to enjoy a number of titles from Sheffield DocFest's Official 2021 Selection simultaneously with audiences in Sheffield. Queen's Film Theatre will screen five films from the festival as part of Live From Sheffield.
