To celebrate one year of SCREEN/PRINT and the 50th anniversary of QFT, the Naughton Gallery presents a one of a kind film poster exhibition.
SCREEN/PRINT launched in August 2017, through which the Naughton Gallery collaborated with UsFolk illustration agency to commission artists to make new posters for films which had inspired or influenced their work. These stunning posters are now being exhibited together for the first time, featuring films such as Clueless, Ghost World, and Spirited Away, by a range of UsFolk’s finest illustrators and a selection of international guests including Jamie Baird, Stephen Maurice Graham, Fiona McDonnell, Jacky Sheridan, and Katie Skelly.

THE NAUGHTON GALLERY AT QUEEN'S & QFT50 PRESENT:
Siri wakes to find herself trapped inside a brutalist candy-coloured dreamhouse. Despite the cutesy décor, the place is far from benign, and she and her inmates are encouraged to compete for survival while being watched over by surveillance cameras, 24/7.
Since opening its doors in 1968 QFT has occupied a very special place in Belfast’s cultural landscape. Marking the culmination of a year-long AHRC funded research project undertaken by film scholar Dr Sam Manning, QFT presents a fascinating insight into its extraordinary fifty-year history.
