In this dreamy, philosophical look at life, explorer Bruce Parry (BBC’s Tribe) travels the world in exploration of a deeper understanding of indigenous peoples and how their way of life can benefit those in the industrialised world.

Tawai is the word the nomadic hunter-gatherers of Borneo use to describe their inner feeling of connection to nature. From the jungles of Malaysia to the tributaries of the Amazon, Tawai is a quest for reconnection, providing a powerful voice from the heart of the forest itself.

"The film is a poetic, thought-provoking investigation into what might have changed within the human psyche since we stopped being nomadic hunter-gatherers and began to turn to agriculture. An event which you could say happened relatively recently.

I believe that the investigation of the film offers some revealing insights into how the way we think and feel might influence the way we structure our societies today - and how we might use this information to help create more balanced ways of relating to each other and the natural world." - BRUCE PARRY

The 6.00pm screening on Wed 4 Oct will be followed by a Q&A with Bruce Parry.
