Brie Larson reunites with Short Term 12 director Destin Daniel Cretton for this adaptation of Jeannette Walls’ best-selling memoir.
The Glass Castle is the moving memoir of Jeannette Walls (Larson), an author in New York reflecting on an unconventional, poverty-stricken upbringing that eventually drove a painful divide through her relationship with her parents (Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts). Her freewheeling father, whose mistrust of the 9-5 lifestyle and cultivation of creativity shaped much of her painful memories, is about to reconnect with the daughter whose adult life has long since departed the vision he imagined.
