Adapted from the award-winning 2008 novel by David Park, The Truth Commissioner is a powerful political thriller, set in a post-Troubles Northern Ireland.

It follows the fictional story of a career diplomat (Roger Allam), who has just been appointed as Truth Commissioner to Northern Ireland. Certain bloody and inconvenient truths are soon uncovered - truths which none of those in power are prepared to have revealed.

This screening will be followed by a Q&A with writer David Park, and Nick Laird (writer and Chair of Creative Writing at the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s).

Presented as part of the Writing Through Conflict programme, hosted by the School of AEL at Queen’s. Free admission.
