In this fast, fun and freaky zombie-fuelled thriller from South Korea, a group of terrified passengers fight their way through a viral outbreak while trapped on board a blood-drenched bullet train.

A mysterious viral outbreak pushes Korea into a state of emergency. The government declares martial law just as divorced Seok-woo and his daughter catch the KTX bullet train from Seoul to Busan to see her mother, unaware of the panic consuming the nation. But someone on the journey has been recently infected sending the hurtling carriages into complete chaos. As the living dead transform the voyage into a nightmare excursion, father and daughter and a small group of uninfected passengers must fight  for survival.

Director Yeon Sang-ho (The King of Pigs) makes the leap from animation to live action with Train to Busan, and in the best tradition of classic zombie movies, he employs a strong social commentary, critiquing his country’s class system as well as its controversial reaction to the 2012 MERS virus, all while unleashing an avalanche of propulsive, adrenaline-fuelled action and horror.

Train to Busan premiered at Cannes Film Festival's Midnight Screening, won the Fantasia Film Festival’s audience award and closed London’s Horror Channel FrightFest 2016.
