Saar could now live the life he wanted. He formed a new family with the London Gay Men’s Chorus, whilst maintaining bonds with his family and to fight for acceptance of a different kind.

When confronted with his mother, father and siblings, he tries to name and re-work the problem dividing them in order to become a part of the community again while continuing to be himself.

LGBT Awareness Week 2017 takes place across Northern Ireland from May 14-21. The theme is 'Stand By Us' which aims to encourage allies of the LGBT community to support their friends, families and colleagues wherever and whenever they see inequality, discrimination or injustice.
