Changes to QFT online

17 February 2020

You might have noticed there’s been a lot of changes around QFT in recent months. We’ve got one more to explain to you now.

Changes to QFT online

On Mon 17 Feb, we’ll have our biggest change to date, as we change our box office system and launch three new membership options. You might notice some changes on our website as part of this shift. We’re excited about how this new system will improve your experience at QFT and on our website, so we wanted to let you know a bit more about the change and why it’s important to you.

Why does it matter to you?

Well, hopefully, you’ll want to join one of our new membership schemes. We’ve done another blog post here about why you should join. Take a look.

The system change will have an impact on our website. If you’ve created an online booking account at QFT before, this will no longer work. You can now either join one of our new membership schemes – two of them are completely free to join – or make your booking as a guest.

The data from our old box office system will be stored in accordance with reporting and financial purposes. Any data used for marketing purposes will be in accordance with user consent. Find out more in our privacy notice.

Do you have a QFT Gift voucher?

You’ll have to come into QFT to get your gift voucher moved to one of new Gift Cards. But then you’ll be able to use your remaining balance in the venue or online.

Do you come to QFT on a Monday?

Our Monday £4 tickets will only be available to customers who have joined one of our membership schemes from Mon 2 Mar. Find out which membership scheme is right for you here.

How this affects Film Card Holders

If you're a Film Card Holder, you will automatically be moved to the new QFT Member programme. You will have received an email about the changes to your membership and information on how to set up a new online account. If you haven’t received these emails, please get in touch on qftmanager@qub.ac.uk.

Having issues?

Changing box office systems is a huge undertaking, and we’ve tried to test as much as possible to limit any issues, but there may be some that crop up in the first couple of weeks. If you have any problems with the site or any questions about these changes please get in touch on qftmanager@qub.ac.uk.
